Who Is Stuart L. Plotnick?
Attorney Plotnick built his career around understanding how injury cases are defended and how they are won. He litigated cases in state and federal courts throughout the region. Prior to opening his law firm, he worked in the personal injury and insurance fields representing insurance companies and their interests. He served for 10 years as trial counsel and managing counsel for CNA Insurance. As Managing Trial Attorney, he acted as lead counsel and oversaw a team of trial attorneys. He also handled the insurance company’s most challenging injury and insurance cases.
Mr. Plotnick then joined the Washington, D.C. office of Travelers Insurance, where he headed the Insurance and Injury Litigation Practice Group. Again, he served as lead counsel overseeing a team of attorneys, while also representing a variety of clients in state and federal courts, including:
- Property owners and managers
- Healthcare and medical providers
- Businesses
- Contractors and construction firms
- Product manufacturers
- Trucking companies
During his years in practice, Mr. Plotnick drew on that background to anticipate insurance company strategies and push back when carriers tried to minimize or deny claims.
Attorney Plotnick is now retired. The practice is managed by Goldberg Finnegan Cannon, LLC, and the team handling matters moving forward continues the firm’s focus on standing up to insurance companies and pursuing results for injured clients throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia.
